The department of electronics and communication engineering was started in 2008 with intake of 90 students. The seats are enhanced to 180 in the academic year of 2012. The students of the department are encouraged to take active participation in various research oriented aspects. The department mainly gives more importance to academic projects in the field of Embedded Systems, VLSI design and image processing. The department has four well established laboratories. They are spacious and are hundred percent equipped as per syllabus prescribed by JNTUK.ECE-Department has its own computer lab with 45 systems and internet accessing. Special software packages like PSPICE, MATLAB, VHDL, MULTISIM, MODELSIM and KEYLE are made available to students.

Department is equipped with number of senior faculties in various specializations like VLSI, IMAGE PROCESSING and WIRELESS COMMUNICATIONS. Departmental staff was associated with various professional societies like IETE& ISTE. Staffs are trained in various faculty development programmers and always motivated to be a Centre of excellence in teaching field.
